Hi, I'm Gregory JB Stover — registered nurse, former financial advisor, and someone who recently lost 45 pounds and hasn't looked back. I created Vital Over 50 because I've spent decades watching people arrive at retirement in worse shape than they deserved — physically and financially — and I knew I could help change that.

Here's the truth nobody says loudly enough: weight is not just a cosmetic issue. Carrying excess weight into your 50s and 60s quietly opens the door to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, sleep apnea, joint deterioration, cognitive decline, and more.

My Story

I know this road personally, because I'm still on it. I recently lost 45 pounds, and while that milestone matters, what matters more is what I've learned along the way — about metabolism, nutrition, sustainable habits, and the mindset shifts that make the difference between a diet and a lifestyle. I'm not standing at the finish line shouting instructions down to you. I'm right here beside you, figuring out the next mile together.

After 30 years as a nurse, I've seen health from every angle — prevention, crisis, recovery, and everything in between. I understand how the body works, how chronic disease develops, and how much power we actually have to change our trajectory when we have the right knowledge and the right support.

But I've also seen something else derail people's later years: financial insecurity. During my five years as a financial advisor, I watched clients who were physically healthy but financially unprepared for retirement — and clients who were financially set but too unwell to enjoy it. The intersection of those two realities is exactly where Vital Over 50 lives.
